True Work Stories: The one who uses the most pieces of office equipment wins

Someone in another office needs a change made to a web page. He prints the web page, crosses out the bit he wants changed, handwrites the new text, faxes it to himself at a special number where it is turned into a PDF and emailed to him, and then he forwards the email to me. I then of course have to transcribe and re-type his handwritten changes. Why he didn't just email the link and say "change the 2nd sentence to..." I have no idea. Maybe he's trying to cover his tracks so the CIA doesn't catch on.

Sounds like he was told to do that once, wrote down the directions, and assumes that it always has to be done that way to avoid an IT crisis.
