Bella Luna

Friday night we headed into downtown Portsmouth with no reservations and the idea of seeing a movie afterward. My wife was sure we were going to be unable to find a table on a Friday night and get stuck eating fast food. It did look very busy downtown... but you must think positive! We walked right into Bella Luna, our first choice, and were seated immediately. I had the antelope special -- my first time ever having antelope (I rarely stray from chicken, pork and beef). The key for me was when the waiter described it as "not at all gamey" and that it came with a sage demi-glace. I love sage. So I risked it, and it was really good. It basically reminded me of filet mignon, very lean, but the texture was a little more chewy (in a pleasant way) and less rich than filet mignon, sort of like a strip steak. Maybe I'll try it at home sometime. After dinner we went and saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for the second time.
