For a change of pace

This weekend we did not visit the bistro. Friday night we spent at home watching Shallow Hal (not great, but thoroughly enjoyable I thought) while sipping Beaujolais Nouveau. Saturday night we joined 3 other couples at the hippest hottest gourmet dining experience to be found in Sandown, Chez Heidi, for a Champagne wine tasting dinner. Bob had the great idea to do a wine tasting dinner each month, with us all rotating at playing host. I'm still not a big fan of champagne but that didn't matter as we had so much fun and Heidi did such great job with the meal; champagne cocktails, tasty hors d'oeuvre, a fancy salad, and especially the delicious main course of Champagne Chicken, which was even more special when you take into account that she's a vegetarian.
