Yahoo! News World Photo: South Korean protesters carry anti-war posters during a rally against a possible dispatch of South Korean combat troops to Iraq near the U.S. embassy in Seoul September 16, 2003... I'm really not trying to be jingoistic, but the hypocrisy of this irks me. We have something like 37,000 troops protecting them from 1.1 million North Korean soldiers, and they can't help us out a little in Iraq? I suppose these protesters are probably the same type that would just assume see us get out of their country altogether. Good luck, Sunshine policy or not, without our deterrent Kim Jong Il would steamroll the South at the first opportunity. I'm not suggesting South Korea should be forever beholden to the US, but you would at least think they could help us do a little nation-building.
