NBC is starting several popular sitcoms at slightly off times, which is going to potentially cause TiVos to bump other shows. (That's almost as mean-spirited as suing end-users.) TiVo's software should be able to nip this in the bud pretty easily: (1) TiVo should be able to figure out that if two Season Passes overlap by a minute but are on the same channel, then there is no conflict, so just record both; (2) TiVo should add a recording option that says something like "It is ok to start/end recording this show ___ minutes late/early" so you don't lose 58 minutes of CSI because of a 2 minute conflict with ER. Come on TiVo, jump on this before the networks wreak havoc with the faithful.

And manual recording only supports 5 minute increments. This means that as an alternative, you usually miss the "reveal" and don't pick up the show when it changes dates as they often do. This has to be a conspiracy. Just got a TiVo update and it didn't fix this problem.
