I've always wanted a metal detector and I finally bought one. We went to the beach one night and I found a nickel, a silver toe ring, lots of foil, a rusty nail, and a tent stake. On my front lawn I got a strong signal and found an old beer can around 5 inches into the ground. I decided I'm not going to detect any more in my yard because it is a pain to dig and fill in the holes.
This weather has been awesome. I'm sure it hasn't been good for the electricity bill but at least it finally feels like summer!

PS: I used a metal detector once. It was quite embarrassing for our friend Richard Steele.
