So how do you know or When using that word.

The "S" word has come up a lot in recent weeks. When PWGF and I spend time together it is when we're visiting and sleeping at one of our homes and you can only do that long enough before you have to take care of your hunger.

She's not sure if she's ready for "S" and I could have "S" every day because there is so much variety.

The sad thing, for me, is that she's not very enthusiastic when we discuss "S" and seems reluctant to try it with me.

I have my "S" preferences (who doesn't?) and would love to hear about yours.

So, what kind of Sushi would you recommend to someone that hasn't had it before and might be freaked out most by the raw fish component? I'm thinking that anything with broiled eel would be best and also some of the tuna rolls because it isn't really obvious that it is raw fish that you're having.

*climbing up from the gutter!*

Spider roll is the best for first timers....then California roll.

Salmon is a pretty safe way to start out before you start getting crazy with the tako (octopus) and ikura (salmon roe).

Oh, man! You tease-

Tuna roll is a good one, the spicy one if available. California rolls are good too. Salmon sushi is pretty easy to handle as well. But you MUST at least present her with some sashimi, in case she's counting carbs!

Thanks for all the Sushi advice. I never thought about Salmon but it is an easy one to eat too!

I am rather disappointed that so many of you ended up in the gutter! ;)

Spicy Crunchy Tuna is good for non-sushi eaters, and anything with shrimp and eel sauce (like dragon rolls). I adore eel, but my friends who aren't regular sushi lovers get freaked out by the thought of eating eel, and just downright won't do it. Spider rolls are good too, because they're cooked (soft-shell crab) and the tempura gives a little salt and a different flavor. Mmmm, I could eat sushi every day too, or in between my shrimp-fix.
