I took American Popular Culture over the summer and enjoyed it a lot. The instructor is a great teacher, the course work wasn't difficult, and the class was interactive and fun.
This fall I'm signed up for Intro to Astronomy and Intro to Anthropology meeting Monday and Thursday nights from 5:30pm to 9:00pm.
The Astronomy class has seven students, including me, and the Anthropology class has nine. I'm glad that the classes are small but especially glad in Astronomy since that means more time at the telescope. :)
Both professors have assigned copious amounts of reading so I'll be spending some of my weekend spare time doing that. I'm also going to miss some classes because of a business trip and the upcoming surgery I'm going to have on my shoulder so I'll be doing makeup work at some point.
The fun thing with my Anthropology course is that the woman sitting next to me has a daughter that is friends with Middle Daughter, two women from my Pop Culture class are across the room, and the mother of one of Mary's ex co-workers is across the room too. Pretty funny to think that in a class of nine I already knew four of the people.
