Making progress or Not by using a shovel.
I'm having trees, stumps, and old logs cleared from my yard and then having it graded and leveled. One cool thing that has come to light is that I have awesome soil where all this work was done. That means I'll be able to plant grass in some parts and wildflower seeds in others and have an awesome yard this summer.

If the soil is great, maybe you could save room to plant some veggies and herbs? Think fresh tomatoe and basil from your garden in summer!
