Oh Christmas tree or My sinuses feel good!

We bought a fake tree last year for the first time ever. Beautiful Wife is allergic to pine and with her lung surgery that year, we decided to play it safe and make the atmosphere in our home easy for her.

It also appears that I'm allergic to pine because that was the first year in I don't know how long that I didn't have a raging sinus infection by New Year's Eve.

I got down the tree and Youngest Daughter put it all together. I did my part, putting on the lights, before they put on all the ornaments. I then get called back into service to put the angel on the top and to put my three glass ornaments (the three wise men) on the tree.

I bought an outside timer this year so that I don't have to go outside when it is bed-time in order to unplug all the lights. The lights come on at dusk and stay on for six hours after that before going off automatically. Wicked convenient is what I say!

Can you still light those candles that smell like christmas trees? Or does that have any effect?

Christie - I'm sure you can get candles like that and they wouldn't bother us. I love the smell of a new tree!

fake trees are the bomb...especially the pre-lit ones...

Dawn - I don't know...there's something I like about putting the lights on the tree...
