Xianfern recently posed the question, "What is it with guys and boobs?"
That's a fair question and I believe it deserves a fair answer.
We've had kids sleep over our house and those kids come from families that only eat 'healthy' food and make sure that they very rarely have sugar cereal or any kind of candy. What happens when they come to our home? The gorge themselves on the cereal and candy.
How many of you have a college roommate or a friend that had a strict upbringing and then went crazy once they were exposed to the freedoms of college life?
What's common to both of these scenarios? They wanted what was taboo or forbidden.
So, if boobs aren't any big deal, and yet guys want to see and touch them, it only stands to reason that this happens because they are denied sight and contact with boobs on a regular basis.
Solution? Women should willingly expose their boobs and after enough exposure to the good (Jessica Simpson), the bad (Roseanne Barr), and the ugly (grandma) guys will no longer think they're a big deal and will talk about your mind or something like that instead.
So, dear women readers...do your part and begin this revolution by posting pictures of your bare boobs on your blogs. Guys will never be the same! Why, by this time next year you'll be at the beach with your man and when some blond bimbo walks by he'll say, "God! I'm so sick of seeing boobs! Put some clothes on!"

I hear you on the whole taboo thing, but really, you and I both know that no amount of flashing is going to satiate a true boob man like yourself.
That being said, I'm willing to do my part to end the insidious preoccupation with breasts....to encourage men to appreciate women for more than their rack. I've posted my contribution over at my place.

I love your examples, and they all have a commonality to them. But.. it doesn't answer the question about guys and boobs! I mean, I'm female, yet I'm not lusting after penis's all the time.. wishing one would just accidentially pop out of some guys pants, or saying to my girlfriends "wow, did you see his package" I'm sure there are women like that out there (in fact, I met some this weekend..) But I think for the most part, the fascination with womens boobs goes beyond anything taboo.. it's gotta be the testosterone!

Xianfern - I'm not talking about men being pre-occupied with seeing a woman's vagina, which is basically the comparison you're making with the penis. I'm talking about something that is nearly eye level, decorated nicely, and guarded like a sacred treasure.

You know, maybe you're right with the taboo. I love a nice chest on a guy, and I guess if men had to cover up like women do, I'd be dying to see some man boobs too!
