I dropped Middle Daughter off at a spaghetti dinner (known as a Spag around here) last night. They have one of these Spags, at different homes, the night before they have a game.
I went back later to pick her up and went inside to talk with the dad. They have a pool and hot-tub in their back yard and a bunch of high school girls were running around in the bathing suits...and one boy.
Turns out he's the 8th grade brother of one of the girls and it was their house. I mentioned to the dad that he looked pretty happy to be out there and part of the crowd that was helping to throw girls into the pool. There was much splashing and falling into the water together and he seemed to be having the time of his life.
The dad rolled his eyes and mentioned that he figured his son must be growing up when he decided to take a shower BEFORE the girls arrived for the Spag.
