Potter time or I need a nap!

I reserved a copy of Harry Potter for Middle Daughter. The book is going to be released at midnight (in case you live under a rock and didn't know) and we'll be at the local Barnes and Noble when it happens.

The next day is her birthday and right now her only plans for the day are to sit at home and read her book. We have a family & friends bday party planned at 4pm and she's agreed to take a small break to eat and get gifts before resuming her reading. All of her friends have similar plans so we may have the quietest sleepover with teenage girls in history...

at a book store at midnight on a Friday night...

I just can't fathom that. ;)

I'm thinking that it could wait until the next day...but that's just me. I should be glad...at least she's doing that for a book. ;)

I have been waiting for my Harry Potter book to arrive all day. It's being shipped by Amazon.

I share in your daughter's full enthusiasm!

No bookshops selling it here. Won't be buying it anyway. Read one and half of the previous installments then gave up... My daughter and son-in-law + granddaughter are addicts but doubt if they went to Waterstones at midnight.. you're a NOBLE man. (Was it Quiet, by the way?...And good news about your biopsy. xx

I love Harry - I'll be starting to read it tomorrow after eldest daughter has finished with it.

We each got a book and Middle Daughter and Her Friend were reading them in the car on the way back to our house. I've spent the weekend with the book and finished reading it at the beach today...but that will be another post.

As for the biopsy...good news arrived and it is nothing! :)

Ummm...I'm sad to say I was at the Music Hall from 10:30-12 am, with my boyfriend ringing in the next installment of the Potter books...I haven't read any of the books, just seen the movies, but I danced every dance and waved every fake wand at the Dementer's in hone of the boyfriend. Have to say I felt a little bit more like the mother of a 34 year old boy that night, rather than the girlfriend...ah well....

Read it yesterday. It's great!

Contagious - I almost did the Music Hall thing but MD wanted to be at Barnes and Noble because that was where all of her friends were going to be instead. It sounds like you were a real sport though...not everyone is brave enough to face a Demeneter!

Kari - It is awesome, isn't it?
