Stupid hospital or We need to know...

When you go to the doctor or hospital around here, they ask if you have insurance and then take our insurance card and photo-copy it. Without fail, there's a problem with the bill and what's the first thing they ask you for over the phone? The information off of your insurance card!

Do they photo-copy it and then make paper airplanes? Why isn't this information in the systems or at least in their files? They must think that the additional stress and bother is integral to the healing process.

Yeah, WTH?! They do that same thing every time we go for an office visit too. Uh, hellloo? It's the same damn card you copied the last time.

I see your WTH and raise it to a WTF!

Yeah.

I thought it was cute when they had to keep checking and rechecking mom and newborn's id bracelets to figure out that we actually belonged to each other. This, after isolating us in the same room for 48 hours.
Next, we'll have to swipe a curfew card to go to the loo.

Beautiful Wife saw the same nurses for months during chemo and they still checked her id bracelet and asked her birthday. Common sense has been replaced with protecting themselves from malpractice suits instead.

I hope Beautiful Wife recovered nicely from chemo; my stepdad went through it three times and i swear the docs weren't satisfied until they killed him with it. Just another case of 'the cure has worked, but the patient is dead, doctor'.

Fortunately, Beautiful Wife's experience seems to have fared considerably better?

So far, so good, Anan. She has some tests at the end of this month and then we discuss the next phase of her treatment, radiation.

oh no, not the radiation.

tell her to confess now, before the head inquisitor comes back.
