I'm taking Youngest Daughter and Middle Daughter to the Ashlee Simpson concert tonight in Boston. I'm not sure what to expect but after watching her "perform" on SNL I'm not expecting a lot.
I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope her older sister shows up.
I took Oldest Daughter to see Jessica Simpson around five years ago when she performed in the parking lot outside of JC Penney at the mall. It was general admission and we were right up front at the barricade. Oldest Daughter, her cousin, and her cousin's cousin from the other side of the family went and I was the token adult. I spoke with Jessica's dad when the other bands were playing that led up to her part of the show.
Jessica hit the stage and at one point came over to where we were standing and blew me a kiss. My daughter and niece turned around with shocked looks on their faces and couldn't believe that she did that.
It sure made my night though I'm sure it was a "you remind me of my dad" blown kiss.
