I have a wine page-a-day calendar on my desk. I have the wine that is on today's page!
I hope that the bottle is a good one because I'll never be able to buy another at $48 if it isn't. I have a few of the 2000 Bordeauxs and wish I had been able to buy more. I bought the ones with the highest Wine Spectator scores that I could afford at the time.
I just looked and in case anyone is interested, I have 88 bottles of wine.

Winery: Château Léoville Poyferré
Wine: 2000 St.-Julien
Score: 94
Price: $80 / I paid $47.99
Country: France
Region: Bordeaux
Superb. Vivid, with lovely aromas of berries, minerals, toasted oak and leather. Full-bodied, with extremely well-integrated tannins and a long finish. A wine to remember. Best ever from this estate. Best after 2010.
They have some at the Portsmouth traffic circle, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for it.
