Lonely or At least we don't have mosquitoes.
I noticed that we left a tiki torch in the ground when I did my autumn cleanup of the yard.
In three more months I'll gladly sit downwind from that torch hoping that it will keep mosquitoes and black flies at bay.

Aren't the seasons amazing? It must be more dramatic when you've got snow as part of the equation, but even here there's a real difference from one part of the year to the next, and it always feels slightly unreal to look ahead to the coming season. In three months it will be nearly winter here, and already the days are getting shorter.
