Saturday night out or The token old guy.

I visited with a couple of high school friends on Saturday night. We get together every few months, have a couple beers, and talk about classmates we've seen and reminisce.

After chewing the fat for a couple hours I headed back home. I decided to detour through Dover and go to the Brick House and watch a concert. Son's girlfriend's brother is a member of a band, The Screen.

I'd seen The Screen at the Stone Church but only heard a couple of songs before heading home since they hit the stage so late. This time I stayed until their first break and then headed for the door.

I enjoyed the music and the fact that my Son, and his friends, consider me cool enough to invite makes me feel good.

But did they smuggle you in and out the back door so no-one could see you? (joking) (I think)

Nope! I came in the front door and they had a seat saved for me at their table. :)

A seat saved?? That makes you a god or something! How cool is that? Congratulations. Actually (seriously) it's great you have that sort of relationship with your son. Maybe that's not so common these days.
