I was reading People at the dentist office yesterday while Youngest Daughter had her braces checked out and the bands changed.
Cameron Diaz was on her way out of a restaurant when a photographer jumped out at them from a hiding place on a dark street to take pictures of her and Justin Timberlake. She grabbed one of the photographer's sweaters, punched him in the neck, and put the camera in her purse as evidence.
Justin Timberlake was last seen running away with his hands in the air and screaming like a girl.
I think that being famous carries a price tag but that some common sense should be used by those doing the picture taking. Let's say that I'm worth 50 million dollars and I'm walking down the street when suddenly someone jumps out at me. Are they a photographer, stalker, potential kidnapper...do you punch them in the face and take your chances with a lawsuit or do you stand there passively right up until the point when they shoot you instead?
