Good Friends stopped by Saturday night for dessert and a movie. None of us had seen The Shining before so we watched that movie. It was barely bloody at all, compared to horror movies that you see now, but it was full of suspense.
I bought a bottle of Sam Adams Chocolate Boch a week ago and had it chilling in the refrigerator. For dessert I filled a chilled glass about half way with the boch, added a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream, and then topped off the glass with some more boch. Only the guys tried it (the ladies were too full) and he seemed to enjoy it too. It seems an unlikely pairing but it is really good.

Just so you know, I had seen the movie before. It was several years ago, so I didn't remember enough of the movie to make it just as suspenseful.
