We went to White Lake for the day. The lake faces the White Mountains and it is absolutely beautiful. The water was fairly warm but there was a stiff breeze so it was cold when you got out. It was warm enough out so that you were comfortable again after you dried off a bit.
I expected the drive home to be worse but really didn't hit any traffic until exit 16 on Route 16. I got off there and took some of the back roads home that Good Friend and I explored back in our Cabletron days.
